NCE Projects

NCEs Warmer At Home Project takes expert advice and a thermal imaging camera to your home or business premises to look at heat loss and comfort levels during cold weather. All paid for from our Community Benefit Fund.

We were granted Community Energy Fund  investment in 2025 to look into a small community owned ground mounted solar installation at Pythouse Farm organic chicken farm. This would ideally be part of an Energy Local Club where members can use energy at the time it is being generated. The grant is administered by South West Net Zero Hub and encourages sharing learning with other groups.

We have been working with CSE on Future Energy Landscapes Project. A workshop was set up in March to discuss local people's attitudes to community owned renewable energy locations in Tisbury, Hindon and Fonthill Gifford. This was very well attended and after some post workshop events over the summer and an online survey we will be sending out a report compiled by CSE soon.

In 2020 we obtained grant funding to set up an electric car club in Tisbury. There have been issues in the last 2 years with car clubs getting insurance but we hope to get up and running again soon.
