Community Benefit Fund
NCE is a not-for-profit organisation and any surplus income is held partly in reserve for contingencies and developments and partly in our Community Benefit Fund to support local ‘green’ initiatives.

We are currently building up the fund, but have already given a small grant to a local scout group for an environmental award and sponsored a Green Fair in Tisbury which had free children’s activities, stalls hosted by renewable technology installers, refreshments, local groups and free music and entertainment.

We have also funded professional energy advice for local schools and community buildings, an eco-cup for the primary school in Tisbury, ran a local eco trail, paid for solar panels to help heat a local public open-air swimming pool and helped pay for energy efficient LED lighting at the Victoria Hall, Tisbury.

Our Community Benefit Fund is also being used to fund training for volunteers to be able to give free energy efficiency and fuel debt advice to local householders through our Warmer at Home scheme offering free thermal camera surveys to identify cold spots and draughts. Our advice is completely independent and totally without any commercial pressure.
If you live in the Tisbury area and would like us to check your home for heat loss, free of charge as a service to the community, please contact us using the link below.

Going forward, the Fund will be open in 2024 to applications from local community groups to help them undertake activities linked to sustainability and net zero. Grants will be awarded equitably according to a published set of criteria.

If your group might like to apply, please sign up to our newsletter for further announcements.
