Our members, supporters and friends

We are so much more than just a local organisation providing free solar panels and cheaper electricity for schools and other buildings.

We are also a community of like-minded people who feel motivated to do something to help the beautiful Nadder Valley and its surrounding area to be more sustainable and more renewable, with less pollution, less waste and a lower carbon footprint.

As a member, supporter or friend, you can participate in various ways....

Drop in on our monthly informal Green Drinks sessions at The Boot Inn, Tisbury to join in the chat about energy solutions, green issues and sustainability. Last Tuesday of the month from 7.30.

All welcome.

Come along to one of the expert talks we are setting up with visiting speakers covering a variety of topics linked to achieving a healthier balance between human activity, nature and the climate challenge.

Help a hand with our stand or presentation at the various events we participate in, such as summer fetes, green fairs and Salisbury's People in the Park.

Engage with our social media. Follow us on Facebook or X (formerly twitter) or write a piece for our website blog.

Join our Tisbury Electric Car Club and experience the joys of humming around the countryside in one of our two secondhand Renault Zoes.

Invest in our latest NCE share offer to support the expansion of our solar installation programme, and earn an attractive rate of interest whilst helping to cut carbon emissions and help save the planet.

And the simplest thing is to sign up to our occasional newsletter to keep in touch with what's happening.

Our Community Benefit Fund

A key NCE aim is spend surplus income on projects and initiatives which benefit our local communities in ways consistent with our founding principles.

We are still building up our Community Benefit Fund, but already we have used some of it on a number of good things.

We trialled a pilot project to assess whether replacing a fossil-fuel boiler with an air source heat pump in a private dwelling and claiming costs back via the government's Renewable Heat Incentive could be viable as an ongoing programme.

We sponsored a small award for the Scout Group at St John's, Tisbury.

Solar for Swimmers

We funded a set of solar panels to help keep the water warm at Tisbury's Open Air Swimming Pool.

Warmer at Home

We offer a free personalised advisory service on home energy efficiency in the winter months to householders on request.
